Joined Landsdowne in 1896 and up to his retirement in 1907, played in 12 consecutive seasons on the 1st XV which he captained in the 1898/99 season. He was very versatile and played at full back, centre and wing for the club winning 3 Leinster Senior cup medals in the process. He was Lansdowne’s first Lion in 1899, the season Ireland won the Triple Crown for the second time. He was the youngest of three High School and Lansdowne brothers to play for Ireland.
