D.T. Arnott

He appears on the first Lansdowne team ever recorded in the 1872/’73 season as a wing and also played in succeeding seasons up to 1875/’76 when he captained the Club this time as scrum half.  Versatility appears to have been his middle name as he also featured at out half.  His only cap was against England on the 13/12/1896 at Leinster Cricket Ground Rathmines in Dublin when he played at wing forward.

The first game between England and Ireland was played at Kensington Oval in London on 15/2/1875 which Ireland lost.  Both of these games included 20 players, which was reduced to 15 in the season 1876/1877.
