Victor joined Lansdowne in the 1930/31 season where his brother T.O Pike was already established and gained 7 caps between then and 1932 was front row and hooker. He won 6 further caps outside Lansdowne (possibly with a Munster club).
He won 2 Leinster Senior Cup medals and 2 Bateman Cup medals with the club in the midst of the clubs golden era with great international players such as Davy, Arigho, Crowe, Lambert, Mick Dunne and others.
Victor and Ted Pike were 2 of 11 children of a Tipperary Clergy man, who saw 5 of his sons play for Leinster and 2 for Ireland with a couple of near misses in Andrew and Robert.
