Felipe comes from a strong rugby family and attended a Christian Brothers school in Buenos Aires (Cardinal Newman College) where rugby was the main sport. Following a couple of seasons with Bristol in the Zurich Premiership Felipe moved to Dublin to play with Leinster and where he was able to continue his medical studies at UCD. In his second season with Leinster he joined Lansdowne where he has played a crucial role this season in helping Lansdowne avoid relegation. Felipe has represented Argentina in two World Cups. In both of these competitions Argentina were ironically drawn in the same group as Ireland
