Welcome to the Lansdowne FC Youth & Mini section.
In the Youth & Mini section, our mission is to ensure that the great tradition of rugby continues to be passed to the next generations in a fun, safe and friendly environment. Many true and lasting friendships have been forged through Lansdowne, stemming from the principles we instill in the young players, of fairness and respect to all contributors. Our players (both boys and girls) can join from the age of 5 years up and progress from learning the basics of the game along with the skills of agility, balance and co-ordination, to tackling and scrums in the following years and other skills as the players mature and progress. All done in a fun friendly atmosphere of encouraging physical activity.
We invite you to regularly visit our Youth & Mini section to get updates on the activities of each of the age-groups, and get a small taste of the fun the kids have each week. If you are interested in finding out more information, then please contact us at or come and talk to any of the volunteers on any Sunday throughout the season or email lansdowneminis@gmail.com.
We actively encourage the participation of parents in many of the section activities and not just in the coaching arena and we welcome any volunteers to assist in the on-going development of the club.
Child Welfare: Lansdowne F.C. Youth & Mini section place great importance in the safety of our children and we promote safety through adherence to all approved Child Welfare policies. We further promote safety with the weekly attendance at training and home matches of the Irish Red Cross who remain on stand-by to nurse and mend any knocks, cuts or bruises to either the players or their parents !
